It looks very much like the pineapple design, and is an old pattern. A friend of mine was asking if I'd make a big round tablecloth for her and wanted one that has holes large enough in it to show off different colors of cloths she would use underneath it. This one is going to be perfect to show off any colors she wants to use.My Crochet Cellarhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01906288865638249173noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1296226312940562657.post-26398418425574130732012-01-07T15:16:00.000-08:002012-01-07T15:18:20.632-08:00Go here to try to win some wonderful Mambo Yarn!<br /><br /><a href="http://www.allfreecrochet.com/sweeps/Martha-Stewart-Crafts-Mambo-Yarn-in-Zebral">http://www.allfreecrochet.com/sweeps/Martha-Stewart-Crafts-Mambo-Yarn-in-Zebral</a><br /><br />WOW! So one side looks mostly red and the other side looks mostly blue, although both sides are red/white/and blue. The long fringe was not cut to be even, but left as it was to give it a different look. If I remember right, I permitted the pattern for this reversible motif to be published in one of the Crochet Calendar-a-Day. An afghan would also be pretty made with this motif. I've never seen a crocheted motif that was reversible giving two different looks as this one does and that was exactly what I was trying to do. </div><br /><div><br /><br /><br /></div><br /><div></div>My Crochet Cellarhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01906288865638249173noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1296226312940562657.post-50448092189349001512011-05-13T16:58:00.000-07:002011-05-13T17:07:36.949-07:00<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh-Hl_O00Etn-TtjujxUWRAiRnYWQUUYjy2bGNbw55ATdwAiJbK0IZcvG1d3nSSgIrO9iQOFnR_KYE6YZ8xMWjalxnTnBpO5c2kSQWvUErbkbGwh2lM7WQQvkO7h8mdWLRNh9cY5e0X_4A/s1600/12+2010+knitchee+bag+back.jpg"><img style="MARGIN: 0px 0px 10px 10px; WIDTH: 70px; FLOAT: right; HEIGHT: 200px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5606354579165999362" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh-Hl_O00Etn-TtjujxUWRAiRnYWQUUYjy2bGNbw55ATdwAiJbK0IZcvG1d3nSSgIrO9iQOFnR_KYE6YZ8xMWjalxnTnBpO5c2kSQWvUErbkbGwh2lM7WQQvkO7h8mdWLRNh9cY5e0X_4A/s200/12+2010+knitchee+bag+back.jpg" /></a><br /><br /><div><span id="SPELLING_ERROR_0" class="blsp-spelling-error">Knitchee</span> Bag \(O)/ 2011</div><br /><div>This is a K<span id="SPELLING_ERROR_2" class="blsp-spelling-error">nitchee</span> Bag, since it is partly knitted and partly crocheted! Oh well, I'll be making another one exactly like it to fit the top of a sofa table. Working on another large round doily for an end table. That will make three of those, then I'll start the sofa table cloth, and then a cloth for the top of a fireplace mantel. Pictures to follow when I finish all of this! After that a large Rippling Rose Afghan to make. Will sure be glad when this is all finished! My Crochet Cellarhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01906288865638249173noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1296226312940562657.post-54353003717664431322011-05-03T18:05:00.000-07:002011-05-03T18:15:14.865-07:00Hook Sleevz<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgMwPkxIDznBYEFVQ5QNa9ZlvRv72yqpXKW2urDawjzQ2kzLI2zM9XKYe530Oq9SF_T0yjUck5R4LN_byxGHEqF47-OFR5GFmjCxXkKfrJAAqLAtxRsfNGOkP7ILPxmrB1uhZ4jN_xD6YA/s1600/best+pix+of+six+Hook+Sleevz.JPG"><img style="MARGIN: 0px 0px 10px 10px; WIDTH: 200px; FLOAT: right; HEIGHT: 195px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5602661615775130146" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgMwPkxIDznBYEFVQ5QNa9ZlvRv72yqpXKW2urDawjzQ2kzLI2zM9XKYe530Oq9SF_T0yjUck5R4LN_byxGHEqF47-OFR5GFmjCxXkKfrJAAqLAtxRsfNGOkP7ILPxmrB1uhZ4jN_xD6YA/s200/best+pix+of+six+Hook+Sleevz.JPG" /></a><br />I invented this some years ago, but never had it patented due to it would cost over $10,000 and they are very easy to make.<br /><br />You can make these out of drinking straws or plastic tubing to fit over your crochet hooks.
